Noémie Guez
Around an 11th-century chapel built on the remains of a Roman villa, the estate brings together 20 hectares of organically certified vines in Puyloubier — a rich, varied, living terroir, farmed with rigour under the AOP Côtes de Provence Cru Sainte-Victoire designation.
The Saint-Pancrace chapel, built in 1045 on the remains of an ancient Roman villa, gives the estate its name and its soul. In Puyloubier, 20 hectares of organically certified vines spread in a single block around this thousand-year-old building, on a rich and varied terroir.
Soil diversity is one of the estate's great distinguishing features. The stoniest soils, formed by rock fragmentation during the last ice age, give the wines a deep, taut structure. The less stony areas are grassed over, encouraging biodiversity and the vineyard's natural balance.
Noémie Guez took over the estate in 2016, entirely restructured the vineyard and built her cellar. First vintage in 2019. From the outset, organic conversion was an obvious choice.
The approach goes beyond mere certification: solar panels, fruit hedgerows, wildflower meadows, nesting boxes for owls and bats, and preservation of the riverside woodland. Every element of the landscape is designed to support living ecosystems.
At the heart of the approach: exceptional old vines. Grenache planted in 1957, Cinsault from the late 1960s, tended with the utmost care. It is these vines that give the wines their integrity and structure.
Each cuvée is the expression of a plot, a soil, a grape variety rooted in this land — with the conviction that respecting living ecosystems reveals the very best of this terroir.
